عنوان Cardiopulmonary resuscitation outcome in emergency department

چکیده Abstract: Introduction: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in preventing death or to delay it in a person who is suddenly suffered cardiac arrest. In this regard, the existence of demographic information about patients who are following this operation is necessary. This issue is examined in this study. Method: In the present study, the patients admitted from 22 December 2013 until 21 December 2014 in Imam Reza Hospital and Sina Hospital of Tabriz due to cardiac arrest or arrhythmias, respiratory and were being cardiopulmonary resuscitation were studied and were studied demographic information such as age, sex, admission to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation in terms of months, cardiopulmonary resuscitation time in terms of hours a day, the location of cardiopulmonary arrest outside or inside the hospital, the duration of the process resuscitation, success or failure resuscitation process, the center was resuscitation and the mechanism of cardiopulmonary arrest. Results: During the year a total 354 cases was performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation that 281 (79%) resuscitation were unsuccessful and 73 cases (20%) had successful resuscitation. The average age of patients was 59 ± 22 years. The average time of the resuscitation process was 31 ± 12 minutes. There was a significant difference between age mean and resuscitation time in people who had been successful or unsuccessful their resuscitation (P=0.000). There was a significant relationship between gender and success rate of resuscitation (P=0.000). There was also a significant relationship between the success of the resuscitation operation and resuscitation Center location (P=0.000). Conclusion: More mechanisms leading to cardiopulmonary arrest among patients was asystole and in this regard, no significant difference was observed between successful and unsuccessful resuscitation processes. It was also observed that the success of resuscitation from 8 am to 4 pm, more than any other time of the day.
